Joy Behar Applauds Richard Spencer for Denouncing Trump

On Wednesday, Joy Behar of The View applauded white supremacist Richard Spencer after he expressed regret on Twitter for promoting and voting for President Trump during the 2016 election. Behar introduced the segment by referring to Spencer’s tweet as “some good news.”

As the tweet was read aloud, the crowd can be heard clapping, with one audience member even going so far as to exclaim, “yeah!”

Richard Spencer is a prominent alt-right, neo-Nazi figure, known for his work at the National Policy Institute, a white-supremacist think tank in D.C., and helping organize the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville which resulted in the death of one individual.
